Not being able to go out drawing during lockdown was very strange,we really missed it. We both used the opportunity to draw at home,a totally different experience, all about looking at our immediate environment, small and close up. Garden detail, interior views etc. It’s been wonderful to get back out there now that we are permitted more than the 1 hour local daily walk! The wide open skies of north Dorset were calling. It’s taken a while to adjust and be back out there. We’ve even tried out a little monoprining session at Badbury Rings, and are hatching a plan to do some printmaking ‘in the field’.We’ll keep this blog updated with our next sketching walk. Here are photos from drawing around and above Cranborne Chase-looking out across chalk hills and ridges.
Wow, looks fun! Beautiful prints, too!
